



Hay Shire Council together with Murrumbidgee Landcare are hosting a series of 2 x day welding workshops delivered by Glen Walker of Tocal College.
The workshops will deliver:
-
identifying hazards and assessing risks in the workshop
-
the safe use of power tools
-
weld preparation processes such as cutting, gauging and grinding
-
welding using both manual metal and gas metal arc welding.
The workshops will be held in Hay on the following dates
Workshop 4, 15-16 August (8am - 4pm)
Workshop 5, 17-18 August (8 am - 4pm)
Workshop 3, 19-20 August (8am - 4 pm)
The cost of the workshop has been subsided by Hay Shire Council and Murrumbidgee Landcare.
The course usually costs $720 but will be subsided so that EACH participant will only have to pay $360.
(Workshop participants will be invoiced by Tocal College).
There are a total of 17 positions available for the first series of workshops.
Each workshop has a maximum of 6 participants.
A second series of workshops will be delivered in the last week August with an additional 16 spaces.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
